1. Run the mission OOC first, get a feel for it and places you can stop to RP. 2. Take your time and don't worry about timers, it's the RP that's important. 3. Focus more on RP between mob encounters, don't feel that you need to RP during the action. 4. Remember to have fun. Other Notes: Have some pre made action phrases ready before hand. "Contact!" "Cover me, I'm heading in" "Minor damage to our port nacelle." "Shields are at 89% and holding!" "My phaser's charge is down to 37%!" "Keep your head down and check your corners" It's easier for people that run in window mode but after you do your RP between mobs you can have an action comment up and ready in your chat bar for the proper time for fun but remember this isn't required. Just offers a little challenge for the future. Remember to be prepared before going into a mission by taking along all hypos and shield generators or ship batteries. This will make for a smoother experience and show your RP mates you're committed to the story Please add your tips and tricks to this thread as well and maybe we can get some more aspects of RP to the fleet!

I really enjoy RP'ing in missions. It's fun and, long term, it provides an exellent common experience between two (or more) characters to refer to later.
Thanks for the tips!

Use the exploration missions. They have almost no script and are randomly generated. If you want to rp that trek staple of two dudes stuck on a planet awaiting rescue, these are the best.

Great suggestion! I love dragging people to the Rolor Nebula and just having a blast in these missions

You can't be a hero unless you're rising above circumstance.

Is there any way to get a random mission these days?
