I wanted to compile the general history of the war in a brief encyclopedic format. I use this in my RP every now and then off memory, as my main RP character, Kell, was involved in many of these events. I took some small liberties, such as with Ker'rat, in order to give some meat to the war (which was admittedly limited and relatively brief, as compared to total war like WWII or the Dominion War in Trek canon). I figured that with Ker'rat being the only ongoing PVP zone in the game, it would make sense that the actual system saw sustained conflict during the course of the war.
Anyways, I hope it helps and feel free to comment!

THE INEVITABLE CONFLICT
In 2404 — Embolded by their conquest over the Gorn, the Klingon High Council decided to go one step further. Although previously surrendered to the Federation, the Klingons have stated ancient claim to the Hromi Cluster, and the sector surrounding it. They announce to the Federation that they need to have all of their civilians, settlements and assets removed from the sector within three months time.
President Okeg refuses to obey J'mpok's ultimatum, and the Klingons invade the Korvat System. The Gorn join the war as well, attacking Sherman's Planet and Deep Space K-7. Many Nausicaan tribes sign a non-aggression pact with the Empire.
In 2405, following the Klingon invasion of the Hromi Cluster — Starfleet is mobilized, and they establish a blockade to stop the Klingon incursion.
THE WAR BEGINS
In 2406 — Following the active threat on the Hromi Cluster in 2405, and the invasion of the Archanis sector in 2406, the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire are again officially at war.
In 2406 — The Klingons invade the Archanis sector, which has been a long buffer between the Empire and the Federation. THE WAR IS ON.
MAJOR ENGAGEMENTS
THE SIEGE OF STARBASE 24— In 2409, emboldened by a successful raid on Utopia Planitia by KDF warships, Starbase 24 was attacked by a massive Klingon assault fleet, eliminating the station's small defense force. The station was rescued by a second wave of Starfleet ships from the Second and Eighth Fleets, which assisted in the evacuation of the station. A number of scientists were evacuated from the station and delivered to the USS McCoy, which was able to carry them to safety.
THE BATTLE OF LAURENTIAN— In 2409, the Federation colony in the Laurentian System had a population in the hundreds that produced quadratanium for use in replicators and holotechnology. The Klingon Defense Force launched an offensive against the Laurentian Colony led by General D'ald, and Starfleet Admiral Grigori Yanishev dispatched an overwhelming fleet to help the local Starfleet outpost repel the attack. The Starfleet vessels engaged and destroyed several waves of Klingon vessels, including D'ald's flagship IKS Kaarg.
"BLOODY" KER'RAT— The border worlds in the Ker'rat System saw the longest and most savage battles in the war, with dozens of ships lost on both sides across many long months. The combat mainly saw ambush and raid tactics by squadrons of cloaked Klingon warships against larger Federation fleets in an attempt to wear down Starfleet commanders' resolve by attrition.
ARMISTICE
In 2410 — Following devastating Undine attacks on the Sol System and Qo'noS, the Empire agrees to an armistice that effectively ends the war in the face of a greater enemy.
Anyways, I hope it helps and feel free to comment!
