Name: Alexander Savage
DOB: Stardate 55134.77
Age: 44
Homeworld: Izar
Hometown: New Seattle
Starfleet Service:
Cadet Savage entered the academy after his second attempt at entrance, and graduated in the class of 2390, in the top half of his class. Promoted to Ensign and assigned to his first command, USS Madrid, where he was junior tactical officer. Savage was promoted over the course of his stay on the Madrid to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and was the Madrid’s Chief Tactical Officer. 2398 Savage was transferred to become the Executive Officer of the USS Pitney. Savage was discharged from Starfleet in 2400.
Court Martial:
A charge of conspiracy to commit mutiny was brought against Savage and several fellow officers on the Pitney. Savage refused to testify against his co-defendants, or defend himself against the testimony of those fellow defendants when they pointed to him as the ringleader. He was found guilty and sentenced to fifteen years at the Starfleet Stockade on Jaros II. Savage later appealed the ruling, after an independent panel determined that several trials were tainted by potential witness tampering around the time of his own. The appeal was successful, and no retrial was ever pursued. Savage served a third of his sentence, never admitting guilt or fully refuting it.
Criminal Record:
With the exception of his court martial, Savage has never been convicted of a felony, though he has been sued over salvage rights claims in civil proceedings.
Business:
Savage is the owner of Savage Salvage and Shipping LLC, a transport and salvage operation based out of the Bajor system. He holds a business license with the Federation Civilian Business Authority, which is currently in good standing. Savage Salvage and Shipping lists its sole salvage vessel as the SS Bounty.
