[[The following information is gathered and assembled here from numerous sources including Memory Alpha, Memory Beta, & my own personal headcanon I have built over the past year plus of playing a Reman. I hope this will help others in playing and enjoying what is one of my favorite species in Star Trek.]]
Biology & Physiology
Reman biology had many similarities to other Vulcanoids including copper-based blood chemistry, keen hearing, highly efficient respiratory system, highly adaptable digestive tract, ability to survive for days without water, superior(to human) metabolism, survival for extended periods without food or sleep, and improved reflexes. They also are believed to share a life expectancy similar to that of Vulcans but rarely lived that long while on Remus.
They adapted to the harsh life on Remus in many ways. First amongst those is light-sensitivity. The severity of this varies from Reman to Reman but can be anywhere from mild aversion or painful headaches to severe blinding and burning of the skin. They also lack the inner eyelids of Vulcans. Additionally Remans are on average stronger than Romulans(but not as strong as Vulcans). They are hardy from a physiological standpoint and have adapted to be more resilient to physical harm than Romulans; they also have minor resistance to radiation(The types you might encounter in dilithium mining and refining) but are still susceptible with any extended exposure.
Remans had some minor cartilage growths along the back to protect the spine as well as at the elbow and knee joints. This was visible and appeared akin to the forehead ridges of both Remans and Romulans. Reman skin was also mottled with brownish colored spots, what purpose these serve; other than perhaps aesthetics for the attraction of mates, is unclear. These spots were most apparent at the back of the neck, along the spinal column, on the upper arms to the wrist, and outer thighs. It is theorized it might have been a minor form of camouflage given their rocky environment.
Another biological quirk of the Reman people is that due to their harsh environment and the hasty adaptation it required they are far more apt to acclimate to changes in environment from an evolutionary standpoint. This equates to a reduction in the number of generations it would take to evolve to comfortably live on a new world down by a small but noticeable margin. As an example the Remans will likely be far more comfortable on Mol’Rihan within eighty percent of the time it will take for the Romulans to adjust. The downside to this is that future generations of Remans born on this world would be less rugged and would find a dilithium mine far less hospitable than the current generation.
From a genetic standpoint Remans as a species are closer to Vulcans than they are to Romulans. This is likely due to divergent evolution after the Sundering.
Mental Capabilities: Nearly all Remans are believed to be capable of limited Telepathy. This is a carry-over from their Vulcan origin that has helped them to survive and also separates them from their Romulan brothers even more. There are a minority of Remans who do not posses any mental talent.
It was also noted that some Remans had an empathy-like capability to ease the pain or suffering of another by taking a portion of these upon themselves. This capability was highly valued and those with it were protected by the others. They were commonly elevated as leaders or advisors. It is theorized but not proven that this ability could be used to share other emotions, sensations, or feelings much like Empathy.
In addition to Telepathy there is a minority of Remans that can employ telekinesis. Even more rarely a Reman can display all of these capabilities.
Reproduction: Unlike other Vulcanoids Reman biology has proven incompatible with all other species thus far. This is likely due to the extreme adaptations and changes on a physiological level that they underwent. Without genetic manipulation it is likely that Remans are incapable of producing offspring with any other species; and that any pregnancy that did occur would be unlikely to make it to term.
As for the actual reproductive cycle Reman pregnancies lasted an average of 30 weeks.
History
Much of Reman history was lost to time and brutal efficiency on the part of the Tal Shiar to eradicate their origins and relationship to the Romulan people. To most the Remans have always been part of the Romulan Star Empire, serving as a lower caste.
Known History: In the late 2370s, the Remans came under the leadership of a Human clone named Shinzon; Shinzon had been created as a clone of Federation Starfleet Captain Jean-Luc Picard of Earth to infiltrate the Federation in Picard's place, but had been condemned to live amongst the Remans early in life. Shinzon's tactical brilliance during the Dominion War allowed him and his Reman brethren to rise to prominence within the Imperial Fleet, so much so that the Star Empire's ability to control them was questioned, with many in the Romulan government believing them to now be a private army. These fears proved well-founded; after winning the support of key members of the Senate and Imperial Fleet, Shinzon had the Senate and Praetor assassinated and assumed power. Shinzon intended to bring revenge upon the Romulans for his and the Remans' suffering, but died before this could be accomplished.
In 2380, under orders from Praetor Tal'aura, the Romulan fleet mounted a punitive blockade of Remus led by Fleet Commander Tomalak, cutting off vital food shipments. Romulan and Reman ships skirmish repeatedly in space through 2381.
By the year 2385, after the Imperial Romulan State merged back into the Romulan Star Empire, the former Empress Donatra began negotiations with Colonel Xiomek of the Remans. The Remans had never left the Romii system at this point. After arriving at Remus, she offered the Colonel full citizenship for him and the rest of his race as well as representation in the Romulan Senate in exchange for their support. Though Proconsul Sela was opposed to this plan, Praetor Chulan could not stand up against Donatra or her military might.
The addition of new resources ended the deprivation many worlds of the Romulan Star Empire was facing during the initial split of the Imperial Romulan State. However, the Romulan Senate was reluctant to accept the Remans but was swayed by popular support for Donatra and gave Colonel Xiomek a seat in the Senate with citizenship awarded to all Remans. However, in practice, most Romulans continued to treat Remans as second class citizens and the Remans themselves were reluctant to openly move to Romulan settlements.
In 2386, Ambassador Spock and the Romulan Mining Guild concluded that Remus had been extensively overmined and that continued mining might result in a similar incident that befell the Klingon moon of Praxis. The Mining Guild proposed to the Senate that they move all mining operations off Remus and also recommended that they be put in charge of such operations. However, the latter proposal was blocked by Xiomek which resulted in numerous skirmishes throughout the Star Empire between Remans and Romulan miners. In addition, Xiomek also placed a further motion that if Remus was going to be abandoned then the Remans should be given a place to live on a continent on Romulus. Instead, a counter proposal was offered that the Remans colonize the failed Romulan colony world of Crateris in the Gamma Crateris system. It was a harsh planet filled with electrical storms but rich in Dilithium, Decalithium and under such valuable resources. Though a hostile world to live on, the Remans accept the offer and see it as a better place to live on then Remus. After which, Remans begin boarding colony ships to settle on their new homeworld, Crateris.
Prior to the Hobus star's destruction of Romulus in 2387, Reman warbirds had been raiding and taking over mining guild ships. Similar acts of piracy continued into the 2400s.

The history of the Reman species can be traced to the Vulcans during the time of the Sundering when several starships left the planet in order to continue their way of life elsewhere. These ships discovered the twin worlds of Romulus and Remus; at the time of the Arrival, the First chose their own worlds for their own reasons thus Romulus was settled where homes were built, plants were seeded and the people lived a free life. However, in order to continue their civilization, a lot of resources were required. Thus, it was decided that Remus itself needed to be settled as it possessed a wealth in riches and resources that were needed to fuel the creation of a new society. To set an example, Karatek of the Shavokh decided that his ship-clan would develop a settlement on the hostile world of Remus. Those amongst the First that settled on Remus consisted of miners and engineers who believed that they their labor would be rewarded with a life on Romulus with the rest of their kind. Even before their work began, Karatek and his people were betrayed and left in exile on Remus where they worked essentially as slaves. It was during this time that the Remans were born.
In the first few years, the colonization project of the world was difficult as transport ships moved between Remus and Romulus in small but limited manner. Travel time took weeks and life support requirements also diminished due to the need for ore that returned to Romulus. As a result, the First of Remus found that they could not return to Romulus as frequently as they had hoped and thus began to form families on this world whereupon the Divide began. The genetic father of the Reman species is Refas while T'Orlyn would be their mother. Their DNA had become altered by the extremophiles that lived on Remus which made them perfectly suited to survive on the hostile planet. The first of the 'prototype' Remans was Rovalat who was the genetic son of T'Orlyn and Refas. He would be the protector and the eldest of the new species which developed a fierce hatred of the early Romulans for what they did to their ancestors. At first, this mutated Vulcan species would remain hidden and make covert strikes against their oppressors which would be done so through collapsing caves that were made in order to kill the guards and to ensure that no exiled Vulcan was harmed.
Whilst the ancient records on Romulus had been purged, the oral traditions of the new Remans told of later events. Two or three generations following the Arrival, a war erupted between Romulus and Remus. The two Vulcan splinter races found a savage war but those that became known as Romulans ultimately controlled the spacelanes thus leading to the Remans to starve. This war lasted for little more than a year with the Romulans emerging as the conquerors and the Remans becoming the conquered. Thus, began the relationship of master and slave with the Remans becoming a second class people who had formed an uneasy partnership with their tyrannical rulers. In later years, the government of Romulus began to suppress any mention of these events which were largely forgotten except for a select few in later generations. It was known that there were multiple times where a Reman rose amongst the oppressed classes in an attempt to overthrow their Romulan rulers though all these failed.

Culture
The Remans were an oppressed caste of Romulan Society whom were slaves in all but name. Remans are stout, fearsome folk and this made them excellent as both a labor force and soldiers. Up until the time after the coup the concept of freedom was foreign to the Reman people as they had long ago accepted their place in the Star Empire.
On Remus it was common for anyone exiled there to be considered a brother Reman and a member of the Species as far as they were concerned. Along the same lines a Reman who served off Remus might have been scorned by the most extremist of their brethren in but this was generally not the case.
Remans were almost never trained in medicine as a means of control by the Romulans. There were a rare few Remans who were trained basic first aid and child-birthing techniques but little else.
Reman language is considered extremely complex as it made us of pictographs representing verb roots. This language was forbidden by the Romulans during the times of oppression but the Remans maintained it nonetheless.
Most of Reman history and myth is passed down verbally from generation to generation. All written record of the species origins has been destroyed by the Tal Shiar but some tales of it still persist in whispered stories.
Telepathy was used culturally amongst the majority who had the capability as a means of communication in the treacherous mines of Remus as well as away from the prying ears of their Romulan overseers. Remans because of this deep connection and sharing do not put much value on secrecy and deception.
Suicide amongst Remans was almost completely unheard of; barring extreme mental illness. Due to the common fatalistic outlook that life was all there was(see below in beliefs) Remans nearly never considered suicide for as bad as their lives might be, death was final. On the opposing end of the spectrum martyrdom and self-sacrifice for what they deemed a worthy cause for the better of the whole community were commonplace. A Reman would gladly sacrifice of themselves if it saved their friends and family, or those they deemed more important than themselves. Those who were gifted with the ability to share pain to ease the suffering of their brethren were an excellent example of this as doing so required them to take a portion of that pain upon themselves.
Beliefs: Some Remans believed that when they die, their souls would be reincarnated on Romulus where they can live in Paradise itself; however, many others hold the more fatalistic belief that their existence is the only one that is available to them.
Some Remans believe in a deity known as Tenakruvek; who was an ascended Reman warrior who was brought to the brink of death five times and survived.
