That was part of the discussion that was had on Teamspeak last night (Note Bene: Teamspeak is a miracle worker for solving these issues and personally, I think we need to encourage more players to get on it than are on it.). At any rate, the conversation was about re-enforcing the Gaurdian, Mentor, and other higher tier roles between Roleplayer and Pathfinder with a bit more enforcement, but not so much that it becomes unfun or a "Job".
I've also been working on story building and looking for new ways to bring story driven RP (not just sit around at the bar and chatter) to better get members involved. I think the Pathfinders should also decide on what constitutes a "Mary Sue" race in Trek Lore and put some guidelines... I don't think we should say no out and out, but give a stricter look at the character before saying they can be in the fleet (i.e. Obviously a Q shouldn't be allowed... but maybe a Q that was kicked out of the continuum and stripped of his powers?).

That Q was in fact Ayche, and he was roleplaying the original Q, the one from the TNG show, given that the other known Q present in the game is his son.
And yes, sometimes Q showed up for plots and such. Not often though(fortunately).
