Because these things can get messy the closer we are to the actual event, I'm starting early.
The first big fleet action of the House of Merzan Plot is likely going to occur early Febuary, so I want to get some guidelines out of the way.
First things first, there will be three GMs coordinating for this event: Myself (hszmv), Vasco (@vasco), and Korzan (@sibera). I will handle GMing Fed actions including weapons fire, NPC ship manuvers, and damage to the KDF fleet. Korzan will be handling the Klingon Fleet actions and damages to the Starfleet Fleet. Vasco will be handling additional events which I will not spoil. All GMs will be communicating through Teamspeak and will be keeping each other on the ball in terms of actions.
The date and time are still fuzzy, but we are currently looking at a Saturday around mid-afternoon to early evening EST (around 4 hours after Exodus time, which is 1300 EST). The lead RP ship will be Exodus and if you have a character on Ex, we ask that you kindly be on them for the action rather than your own Captains. Channels lay out for this event will be as followed:
Command Deck: Exodus
Engineering Deck: Admiral's Flag Ship, GMed RP Ships
Crew Deck: All other PC Ships.
RP Communications: GM Actions, Ship to Ship communicatoins
RP Crossover: OOC commentary.
As per our usual fleet engagements, please begin your posts with a three letter call sign for your ship (i.e. [AVL] for Avalon, [VIC] for Victory, ect.) Exodus is excused from this rule due to its Exclusive Channel nature, though it might help for crew onboard to note where in the ship they are located.
Now, for some other rules:
1. Please take your hits. If a GM gives you a damaging hit to the ship, you are damaged... don't interrupt the RP because you disagree. The GM will not give you damage that your ship cannot recover from with at most a stop over in dry dock. A GM will not give an PC ship damage that would result in the complete destruction of the vessel UNLESS YOU ASK US TO. IF YOU ARE SO INCLINED TO BLOW UP YOUR SHIP, PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA PM OR IN GAME MAIL TO LET ME KNOW (for story purposes, we might say no, depending on many factors). Please expect paint to be scratched.
2. This event is designed to be a good ol' fashioned Starfleet vs. Klingons shoot'em up. To accomplish this, both sides are limited in who can show up. They are as follows:
Federation side players may include:
*146th Starfleet ships.
*Non-146th Starfleet ships.
*PC Bridge Officers on a GMed Ship.
*PC Officers on a Non-GMed Ships.
*Non-Starfleet ships belonging to Federation Member worlds (Vulcan ships, Andorian Ships, ect. (Please PM before use)).
The following will not be allowed:
*Romulan Republic Ships (because the Republic is allies with both the Klingons and the Federation, they would not choose a side in the matter).
*Klingon ships with Federation Loyalties (i.e. I am in the KDF, I do not agree with Merzan, I will help the Federation. If you have such a character, there will be a story development to provide you with an excuse along the lines of challenges against their Honor based on Loyalty issues.)
*Mercenary Ships or Guns for Hire.
*Non-Federation ships belonging to Non-Federation Members.
*Original Races that are not members of the Federation.
Klingon Side players may include:
*Klingon's that want to fight the Federation.
*Klingon's that don't want to fight the Feds, but feel they must anyway (PM me please. They might be useful later on.).
*Mercenaries or Guns for Hire who are okay with being hunted by the Federation after this.
*Klingon Allied ships (Gorn, Nausican, Orion)
The following will not be allowed:
*Original Races not allied with the Klingon Empire.
*Klingon Empire members looking to turncoat once the guns start shooting.
Again, I want to keep this as Federation vs. Klingon as possible... I'm sorry if this means your character cannot join in, but to say anything further would be a spoiler.
3. Federation Side will be taking Marching orders from Admiral Martin and the 146th chain of command (Villaina next and then we'll figure out from there). If you break ranks or single yourself out, GMs will notice... and we will... scratch some paint... *cue Korzan's evil laugh*
4. Have fun.
5. Edits will be made based on questions.
