Description: The acquisition of the Mogh Class starship heralded a new and more deadly approach to assault and defence by the Brotherhood of Feras. The fleet sports twelve of these fine ships, most of which taken from Merzan's Fleet during and others acquired as prizes from daring stealth raids on outlying KDF outposts before the war ended. The BoF Karshaan named after a particularly dangerous Bird of Prey from Ferasa is Maverick Thorkans Flag for the time being, whilst the BoF Reclaimer is undergoing a complete and utter reconstruction. They are fast, heavily armed and heavily armoured. They serve as command vessels and lead ships in assaults, using their superior speed and firepower to decimate the enemy with other ships backing them up such as Destroyers. If you see one, best not to engage unless you got backup.
The acquired Mogh Class cruisers all sport upgraded weapons, armour plating, warp cores and other such refinements that have turned them into exceptionally deadly vessels. While their shield systems are lacking in the ability to take a pounding, a flaw that is being looked into by the Brotherhood Engineers and scientists the Moghs possess significant improvements to their armour plating. Taking Monotanium with a small mix of Neutronium mined from a Dead core deep within the Brotherhood territory allowing for a formidable armour plating design capable of taking brutal punishment. This does however make modifying captured vessels a slow and expensive process as acquiring the Neutronium alone is extremely slow.
The shields as stated before are rather weak in comparison to a Federation vessel of Similar classification, whilst they cannot take a beating they are capable of partial adaptation to enemy weapons fire as well as rather quick regeneration allowing for hit and run tactics to be viable.
Weapon systems wise they are designed to be... very efficient at what they do. Taking quad cannons and fitting them to the ship, coupled with slipping black market upgrades into the disruptor systems and enhancing them with nanotechnology that make them much more effective and ripping apart other targets. These weapons mixed with their universal Torpedo launcher make for a rather deadly starship with excellent destructive capability. It is best to never face one alone. With the Undine threat kicking in it is rumoured that the Brotherhood are looking into ways of improving the Nanite Disruptors for use against Undine vessels in case they are forced into encounters with them.
Revanant Class Missile systems have been installed into the armoured pockets on the wings of the ship, each pod containing 40 of these dumbfire and guided missiles. Each one is in actuality a cluster missile designed to overwhelm the much favoured point defence systems installed on most starships now a days, though they are most effective against weakly shielded or completely unshielded targets where the smaller micro rockets can bury themselves into the primary and secondary hulls of starships and cause havoc with the power systems or outright blow holes in it. Shields make these things completely ineffective unless used in excessive amounts. Fighter shields are not as effective however in pushing these things back.
With such upgrades comes a new need for a better source of power, with technology taken from the Dyson sphere, schematics and designs borrowed from other groups they've managed to install their own fusion of Dyson technology into the Warpcores pushing out a significant boost of power to keep everything running. Overall a significant improvement over the standard.
Other minor improvements include an added science bay, sensor network and the ability to land on the surface of a planet. The engines are capable of delivering enough thrust and the Structural integrity fields are strong enough that if required, one of these vessels can land on the surface of a planet. Their holds can be fitted with a variety of equipment from medical bay conversion to micro mining and crude refinement units rather quickly when not needed in a violent affair.
