It has been sometime now since I actually was present at the Embassy on Mol' Rihan, and not even any of the staff there had been told why either, the cover story being that my office was being redecorated,if that was truly the case they would go on record as the slowest painters ever.
The actual reasons for my absence are possibly even a bit harder for some to believe, but let us say that the Colonies established and manned by Federation colonists deep within certain regions of territory to be found within Klingon Controlled areas ,,are thriving way better than to be expected.
This is all that more surprising when you consider that the success has come from an accident that could have proven a big disaster to the project overall.
Someone on-board one of the transport ships for one of the new colonies had this bright idea to bring along her pet tribble, and most will know what happens when a tribble gets into a cargo hold full of grain seed.
But colonists being colonists were less put off by this than say service personnel would be,and so it quickly became the norm among the colonies to set up Tribble Farms, especially once they became established as a cooked delicacy among their Klingon neighbours, passing Freighters and Birds Of Prey patrolling the areas concerned.
And quite naturally when the first Colony held its Tribble Day celebration ,the subsequent colonies that followed suit felt they should hold their Tribble Day,but at the time when they went into production as it were.
The number of Tribble Days was getting a bit out of control, rather like the Tribbles themselves at times[rather ironic].
So the purpose of my sojourn to the hind ends of Klingon Space was to head up a meeting of representatives of each of the colonies to settle the dispute over all the various Tribble Days, and so it has been agreed that Tribble Day for all the colonies will follow that set up by the first to go into production.
Happy Tribble Day
