B'rena Konstantin
Born: 2358
Starfleet science officer, Academy Class of 2400
Specializes in geophysics and astrophysics
B'rena, daughter of Kladh, emigrated to the Federation in 2393, around the time of the death of Martok. Ostensibly, her departure was made in a desire to pursue her interests in science. While this was true, she was motivated more to leave an abusive marriage, in the process leaving her son K'Vok. As a result, she considers herself an exlie from the Klingon Empire and from her family, in order to avoid bringing dishonor to the House of Ka'rel, with whom she had not spoken since the birth of K'Vok.
On Earth, she settled in St. Petersburg, Russia, to study geophysics. Here, she met Vitaly Konstantin, a professor in astrophysics, who at first was charming and refined. Following their marriage, she soon found him to be little different than her first husband: domineering and abusive, and insistent that she mother a child for him. She refused, sought a divorce, and turned then to Starfleet. She completed her Academy course work in just over two years, though she was also the oldest student in her graduating class.
Since graduating, she has pursued her scientific passions with the same intensity one would expect of a Klingon warrior. She isn't the best, or the most thorough, but is commonly the most enthusiastic.
Her latest assignment is as a geophysicist aboard the USS Exodus.
