For an upcoming Avalon session (either the 15th or the 22) Avalon will be doing something just a bit different. Rather than focus on the brave crew of the U.S.S. Avalon... we will get to look at the people on board the I.S.S. Avalon.
This will be a one time event... though depending on the success, we might occasionally revisit the crew.
On the eve of a major battle, Captain John Sanders of the I.S.S. Avalon announces that they aren't following orders... but instead making a move to install himself as the new Terran Emperor while the Fleet is away... Your characters now have a choice... are you going to be loyal to Sanders? Or the mysterious Emperor?
There are two new positions available with caveats: They must be based on established Fleet Characters.
Political Officer: The PO is a new role that enforces the law among soldiers and punishes those that go against the Empire's law. Unlike Security which works to protect the ship and crew, they are specifically looking to protect the Empire from the ship.
Captain's Guard: A bodyguard or two that will protect the Captain from the crew. Usually loyal to the Captain... Usually.
I'm still working on the mechanics, but the rule will be "Anything goes". Yes... you may kill Sanders and someone may kill your character! I'm still working on the details. It might just be a have fun with it and I will ref only if it spills into OOC.

I'm not sure if I'll join that session. Mostly for the primary reason that Mirror 17 of 25, if she does exist(because it's possible she doesn't) would be a Drone in that universe, and thus not part of the Terran Empire.

I'm looking at my list of characters and giving it thoughts. I'll see what I come up with. Definitely interested though.

My character, being Romulan, would likely not have any borg implants... also if she was on the ship she would be something like the captain's servant or a slave girl of the crew or something.

For what it's worth, in fleet canon, the Romulans were encounted in the mirror universe* by the former RP ship USS Reliant. When last seen, the Terrans were assaulting Romulus in full force. We don't know how the battle resolved, but certainly some Romulans could have been captured at least. * An OOC undertone that I felt during the events of Reliance was that there might actually be more than one mirror universe. There were certainly times when the players on the ship weren't sure that the universe they were in was the same that had been encountered in STO canon. Meanwhile, players of the "prime universe" also had the feeling that they weren't looking in the right place for Reliance. HS and other GMs can, and probably should address these possibilities in another thread. At any rate, this interpretation might allow characters with mirror universe origins to have a somewhat different timeline for events on the other side than what played out in fleet canon.

I will bring one of my characters, assuming that mirror Whitlock is not reassigned to the ISS Avalon after being debriefed.

Couldn't she be a human? No implants? If she had been born in the Prime Universe as human, then maybe yes, a Terran version of her might exist, but she was born Borg(not assimilated at a young age), and thus her Mirror counterpart would most likely be a Borg as well. But above all else, I personally feel uncomfortable RPing a Terran character, so it's not entirely a matter of character might not be there, but I doubt my own capacity at RPing like that. Sorry.

Keep in mind, mirror universe counterparts don't need to have the exact same origin as prime counterparts- Vic Fontaine was a human in the mirror universe, and a hologram in prime, after all.

I'd like to put Ma'reQ into this if possible. I'm not sure where you would want a Klingon.
Ma'reQ in the MU would be a Soldier of the Klingon Alliance so if failing any other role he could be in the Brig. Never know what opportunities for interesting RP could come from that.
