Due to recent in character events, the Captain of the Avalon, John Sanders will be stepping down, creating an opening for the position. This position is open to any player who meets the following criteria:
*Must be a player in good standing (no disciplinary warnings at time of election) with the OOC rank of at least Roleplayer.
*Must be willing to attend sessions on Wednesday Nights at 7 PM EST and be willing to commit to a possible 2.5 hour (Most sessions only last 1.5 to 2 hours, however, running long does happen from time to time) session with minimum foreseeable absences (RL does come first).
*Must be willing to work with GM and cast to ensure a vibrant and engaging RP session.
*Must be a part of the 146th fleet and willing to follow the chain of command.
*Must have a decent understanding of Starfleet's general principles and ideals.
The position is open to any character and may either be established within the fleet OR created specifically for this role who meets the following criteria:
*Must be a Starfleet Officer with the rank of Captain OR Commander who is reasonably close to a promotion to Captain.
*Must be able to produce an original (no characters from other shows or established Star Trek characters), reasonable backstory for the character that will be submitted to the Storytellers for a vote.
*Must be a part of the Federation Faction.
Nominating a character
A player may nominate ONE character of their own by sending the following information to either Vilaina's or my forum account with the following:
Full Name:
@handle:
Age:
Character History:
Why should I be elected: (OOC reasons).
Character History and OOC reasons should follow the "Girl's Skirt" principle of writing. That is, make it long enough to cover everything, but short enough to keep it interesting. This is your moment to tell us as much or as little as possible about your character. When mailing, please use the title "Nomination: X" where X is the full name of the nominated character.
A final note on being in good standing: While the character John Sanders is being removed as part of IC discipline, his player, @norcalar, is still considered a member in good standing and is thus eligible for consideration of another Captain character if he so chooses to pursue Nomination
