NEWS: Academy has started! Stay tuned for more news!
Greetings and welcome to the Academy Super-Thread set up for the Starfleet Academy roleplay run by me, Limi! Otherwise known as Nem or @nemulim.
Alright, lets get started!
Basic Information:
Academy takes place regularly on Fridays at 7pm EST - 9pm EST. As of right now, all player cadets have been assigned to the Beta 13 block of the Class of 2418. This is a first year block, so all cadets are expected to be that. First years. Dormitories are separated by gender, and the current students are housed together in four-person groups.
Students have been issued fitted uniforms. (This is purely for roleplaying flavor. Out of character, any combination of uniform parts that can be made to look like Cadet uniforms is fine by me.)
Students have been registered for use with campus replicators and equipment. (Equipment being anything that has been authorized for their use as necessary. Lab equipment or classroom systems and the like.)
As part of my GM system for setting up exciting and engaging roleplay, I will be posting between session curriculum information in the "Curriculum" post of this thread. This information is intended to be taken and read by the cadet players before session, so that they can have a hand in determining what their cadets paid attention to. And then session will take advantage of the fact that in-between... the cadets have been in class. Friday will basically be test day! Hooray! Hoora... oh right. No one likes test days. I promise it won't be ALLL bad.
Guidelines for being or becoming an instructor:
It's pretty basic. Get in touch with me, either in-game or via site mail. Let me know that you're interested. Before I will authorize a session to be run, I will need a written out summary of what story you intend to tell. I do not need every single detail, but I need enough bullet points that I can be certain it fits within the Academy experience I am working to deliver to the fleet.
Please be aware that I will do my best to work other teachers in, but I do have stories of my own to tell. It may take some time to get to making an opening for you.
And as GM, I reserve the right to turn a story away or ask for changes to be made to fit the experience.
