Purpose of the 9th Command(OOC): The Romulan 9th Command exists only to give players who wish to play Romulan Republic characters a point of reference for where they would be based from, report to, and some general ideas for RP and background/assignment. This is not a strict guideline whatsoever. It exists purely to support Republic RP.
Mission Statement: The Primary goal of the 9th Command is to deter Breen raiders in Orellius, Coordinate with Taskforce Omega in the Defera System, and to coordinate joint operations with the Starfleet 146th fleet and the Klingon Defense Force 3rd Fleet.
Sort of Vessels that are reasonable as part of the 9th Command: Small patrol craft such as T’varo, T’liss, Dhelan, Dhael, Mogai, & Valdore classes. Support and auxiliary craft such as the Ha’nom class. Rarely larger vessels such as the D’deridex, D’dridthau, Ar’kif, Ar’Kala, & Ha’feh.
Base of Operations: The 9th Flotilla. Located on the edge of the Manek System, Orellius Sector. (This places them directly between Starbase 146 in the Beta Ursae and tengchah Kladh on the Deferi-Klingon border.)
The Flotilla is made up of the 9th Command’s Flagship the R.R.W. Aehv anna'eri(Ha’apax class cruiser). As well as assorted Support craft. (2 T’varo class[R.R.W. Irea & R.R.W. Jhu] , 1 Ha’nom class[R.R.W. isaehj'ey], & a wing of Scorpion fighters.)
Roleplay Locales: In addition to all the normal locations for the Faction your character aligns with (The Fleet Holdings, Starbase K-7, Starbase 39, ESD, Vulcan, Andoria, Academy(KDF or Fed), Qo’noS First City, Ganalda Station, Foundry Maps, and Neutral locales like DS9, Defera, Nimbus, Dyson Command, Delta Command, Kobali, etc) Romulans have a few more locations that are more specially tailored for them. So if you are looking for more Romulan-centric RP locations you might try these below.
Romulan Bridges - Should go without saying that any Romulan RP can take place using these great bridges, whether played as a ship bridge or as a station/base using the lower levels.
Romulan Flotilla - Located in Tau Dewa this Romulan starter area makes for a great location for some 9th Command Flotilla RP.
Embassy - The Embassy on New Romulus, both of our fleets have this location unlocked it contains numerous levels that allow for great RP whether Diplomatic, command, or casual. Romulan Command Center; this zone is another obvious one but is limited to only Romulans.
New Romulus - This should be pretty obvious it is their new Home World after all. A lot of people worry about the Level Minimum to enter but that’s not actually true, while the zone does require you to be level 50 in order to enter normally you can join a team with a Faction level 50 in the Fleet Embassy then enter New Romulus with them from that location. This may also work from Romulan Command.
Command Structure: The 9th Command is overseen by Vice Admiral Morair; who reports back to New Romulus, and a small group of Sub-Admirals that lead task groups within the Command.
The large portion of the 9th Militia is made up of small patrol craft under the command of experienced Sub-commanders with crews of mixed commissioned and enlisted militiamen. The style of command varies by vessel and Commander. Older veteran Commanders favor the structured, disciplined style of the Empire, while newer ones will be more loose with regulations and more personable with their rather small crews.
Exchange & Liaison Positions: There are several established Romulans in the 146th or 3rd fleets that are in these positions. Such Officers would not need to change position to be part of the 9th Command. The only difference would be that instead of reporting to New Romulus they would report to the Vice Admiral of the 9th Militia, or a Sub-Admiral under his/her command.
