So alot of you might not know me I am a old member, spent many many hours playing STO and quickly burnt out, I visited it again tonight for a short time, around 20 minutes totally forgot how to play and the new stuff looks daunting xD But to the point, from what i gather in the forums and on the game things have changed alot and people seem to have left that used to be a large part of the fleet? like john?.
He usecd to update his logs daily but ive not seen any in months, Id like to catch up on what ive missed to make a still uncertain return alittle less confusing.
Also while i may not be returning to the game ill be working on the forum as much as i can, a skin overhaul is very much needed.

John (Norcaler) was greatly upset with the changes and how he perceived Cryptic's handling of Delta Rising, and ultimately quit the game. Others have been dropped for inactivity, and still others have left over differences of opinion concerning changes in the fleet.
If you would like, we can help you adjust to the latest game content, some of us have managed to passably manage to muddle through.

Some people may have left, but the core group is still around. Active people that roleplay and wanna help the fleet grow, new and old. Things and people will change, this can't be prevented, and you have been away for a bit of time from the game, so the changes will seem a lot bigger. But a lot of us old fleet members are still around from around the Xander days. HS, Aych, Kal, Flynt, Jrai, Korzan.. to name a few, are still here. And there is aswell a bunch of awesome new players that is a great asset to the fleet.
So please, give the game a chance and return to see if you like it. And as Geralyn said, we can help you adjust to the newer game content if you need any aid.

The game has changed a fair amount in the time you've been gone; around a year if I understand. I would suggest maybe taking a bit more than 30 minutes to attempt reacquainting yourself with STO. If you need any help in that regard the Mentors; myself included, will be happy to help. As for the Fleet itself things have changed; just within the past year I've been a member, for the better. We regularly bring in new members and have three active Roleplay ships from two different Factions. We have an Academy weekly RP. We've got guides to help players with all sorts of things. And we've increased general quality of life as a whole. So maybe take a little more time to settle back in. Things may be different but different can be very very good.
