Stardate 49282.41: U.S.S. Venture on diplomatic mission when it receives urgent message from Starfleet Command: Klingon Forces had attacked Deep Space Nine. Captain Corbett volunteers to take Venture and a Quick Reactionary Force (QRF) to reinforce the garrison at Deep Space Nine. Captain Corbett is transferred from U.S.S. Venture to the newly constructed Starbase 114, Celes Sector, to assume command. U.S.S. Venture falls under the command of Captain Benjamin Dawson.
Stardate 51117.66: U.S.S. Venture’s first major operation under its new Captain is a scientific expedition to the Holaren Nebula for 6 weeks.
Stardate 52035.28: Following the destruction of the U.S.S. Odyssey, U.S.S. Venture is ordered to report to Utopia Planetia to undergo SCS-090 refit, emerging 4 weeks later with improved armour and additional phaser strips on nacelles.
Stardate 55708.28: Operation Return. U.S.S. Venture, along with starships U.S.S. Magellan, U.S.S. Ramillies and U.S.S. Galaxy form Galaxy Wing 9-1. After sustained heavy fire, U.S.S. Venture is forced to retreat to the rear echelons. U.S.S. Ramillies assumes command of Galaxy Wing 9-1.
December: U.S.S. Venture takes part in First Battle of Chin’toka, assisting allied forces with capturing the system from minimal Dominion Forces.
Stardate 63054.3: Following cessation of hostilities, U.S.S. Venture, along with sister vessel U.S.S. Dauntless ordered to Starbase 12 in the Maelstrom, where Venture engages in several conflicts with rogue Cardassian Forces under the command of Legate Matan. This is the beginning of the True Way movement.

SCS-100 Refit
The SCS-100 Refit of the Galaxy Class frame came around from a protracted study after the Dominion War and the Shinzon crises, which revealed several tactical weakness in the frame. These studies led to the development of the Venture Class, with the Galaxy Class U.S.S. Challenger being renamed and re-registered U.S.S. Venture, following the Challenger's 40 year refit. The Galaxy Class U.S.S. Venture became the U.S.S. Claren, NCC-198332.
The SCS-90 refit, of 2375 reinforced the vulnerable points revealed with the destruction of the U.S.S. Odyssey and the U.S.S. Enterprise-D, with ablative armour originally deployed upon the U.S.S. Defiant (NX-74205) to the depth of 1 centimetre being retroactively added to the Enterprise (NCC-1701-E) following the resolution of the incident with the Ba'ku. However, it was proved to be inefficient. Following the Shinzon Crises, where the Scimitar's assault quickly punctured both the ablative armour and the hull of the Enterprise (NCC-1701-E), Starfleet Command and the Starfleet Corps of Engineers underwent another, 10 year study, analysing every combat situation that the Galaxy Class had gone through.
In 2390, the U.S.S. Galaxy (NCC-70637) was elected to be the testbed for a more in-depth refit, designated the SCS-100 refit, which was designed to bring the Galaxy Class up to par with the Sovereign Class in terms of computer processing power and weapons systems. Following the resumption of hostilities with the Klingon's in the early 25th Century, the SCS-100 block of the Galaxy Class were selected for posting to Deep Space K-7, the Laurentia and Kassae Systems, the Hromi Cluster and Starbase 114 to dissuade Klingon Aggression.
Specifications:
Technical changes:The SCS-100 refit, in regards to technical systems, updated the Galaxy Class with updated firing systems, quantum munitions, and more powerful long range sensors. It also added armouring to the neck, warp nacelles and nacelle pylons.
Interior Changes:
Internally, the SCS-100 Galaxy Class vessels have larger corridor's and a much larger Main Engineering bay, to facilitate the larger warp core the SCS-100 required to power the new weapons and computer systems
