The posts of Chief Medical Officer and Counselor are currently open, as well as junior positions throughout the ship. If you have an interest in joining the crew of Avalon, post in this thread or PM me in game with a description of the character you would like to use. Remember that Avalon runs from 7-9pm EST/EDT (and sometimes may run over).

Would it make any sense IC to have a Fed-ally Romulan intelligence officer join your crew, as a cultural exchange or joint interest or something? I have a half Romulan, half Bajoran character named Lora who was raised on a Romulan colony world, but is eager to explore the other side of her heritage and get to know the Federation better. If that doesn't work so well, I have a full Bajoran tactical officer Kai Nevra (no, not THE Kai of Bajor, it's just her name) who I'd love to have in a junior position on the Avalon. I haven't fleshed her background out in too much detail yet, so I can shape it a bit to suit the needs of wherever you want to assign her; though she was one of the top pilots in her year at the Academy.

Hi. I might try my hand at an Avalon character.
My proposed character is a Jarkonian female, whose name is unpronounceable but for Starfleet purposes she's referred to as Doctor Rho Rivers M.D. (Rho as in the greek letter.)
She would be lieutenant ranked. She specializes in postmortem analysis (spent many years as a coroner on her home planet) and is well suited to treat all humanoid illnesses and injuries.
She would also like to act as the ship's unofficial chaplain, being ordained in all major alpha and beta quadrant mono and poly theistic religions. She herself is an Orthodox Koraxian. On a personal level, she is married to two husbands, who are not in Starfleet, and live on Jarkonis.
