Hey guys. Sorry for taking my time on this. Like I said, I've had a very busy past two weeks. After conferring with Gardner, our Starbase CO, I will need to further push this plot back.
We are set for it to happen on the 22nd of November, which is a Sunday at 3pm EST. This is in effort to maximize involvement with our European and Stateside player base. I'm looking to run it until 6 PM or further, depending on how the plot goes and will try to make it all inclusive as possible.
Some of the things that need to be done in this event:
We will need to disable the Industrial Replicator, Comms. Array, Shipyards, and Transwarp Gate. Inside the Starbase itself, we will need to disable weapons systems including the Phaser Lance, Communications systems, the computer core, transporter logs, move/destroy the shuttle compliment (carrier players, hint, hint) and disrupt power supply to non-life critical systems.
Friendly Starships Captains will need to help offload the torpedo compliment and run evacuations of personnel. Remember the Starbase has a very large population, not all of them Starfleet officers and their dependents. We might not be able to get them all out in time. Finally, Captains may want to look into buying some time by picking off Terran Frigates and fast ships that will get to the Starbase quicker. This could be a good job task for our Klingon friends, who can't mechanically enter the Starbase system.
The length of time was also designed to allow for players to swap out toons... it's within reason to suspect that a Captain who has a full ship of evacuees would leave and allow for some play time with that player's alt toons.
After we wrap up, we will meet up at DS9 for a debrief. Players still looking to do some RP could work on setting up 146th fleet operations at DS9 or attend to repairs or wounded or get a nice stiff drink... Zone will be established there.
At this time, I am looking for volunteers to help me co-GM this monster. Nothing too serious, just some people can help move plots in the event I'm getting slow or need to take a quick AFK to answer the phone or something.
Finally, this hasn't been stressed enough, but the Starbase will be off limits only ICly, and even then some players have approached about playing their mirror counterparts on the Starbase or doing a resistance movement RP, which is perfectly fine. As always, you are more than welcomed to use it as a set piece for other RP or use the various tools a Starbase affords the fleet.
TL;DR: Event is on 11/22/15 starting at 3 pm - 6pm+ depending on player RP events... I will be on sooner if some people want to start something light. I would like some help. Please message me here if you would like to help GM AND/OR have any questions.
