They vary in size from 50 meters to half a kilometer. The Captain calls for the doctor who upon arrival identifies them as what appear to be Influenza C; aka the Earth Flu. With some further scans the crew are able to identify the source nucleotides, even if they are unknown. They discuss and come up with the plan to modify the containment on the disruptor arrays to fire plasma that should burn away the cells harmlessly. Implementing this plan the cells are immolated. In the distance they detect life-signs that move closer. Reactions are mixed as the view-screen the source of the life-signs to be a half dozen small cosmocean beings which flit about the wreckage of the two ships before moving towards the Hammerhead. The crew moves off under cloak but the creatures seem to follow in their wake and are detected to be absorbing latent impulse energy harmlessly. After some debate on whether the creatures are a threat a massive subspace burst resounds through the area heralding the emergence of some manner of massive cosmocean behemoth. The communications and sensors are knocked off and the last image the view-screen shows is the inside of the creatures maw as the Hammerhead is swallowed! After a short time of frantic system resets the sensors come back online and the crew finds itself deep within the stomach of the beast. Seemingly safe for now as the creatures stomach acid is primarily on the stomach lining the ship idles in place as its crew run over numerous theories on how to escape. Their scans reveal tat the stomach cavity is several thousand kellicams(2km each) across that the walls cannot be penetrated by scans and that they are not the only vessel present. 11 other vessels reside within; one of which(a Tuffli) they hit with a torpedo whilst panicked, more thorough scans reveal 2 Federation vessels, 1 Defense Force vessel, 1 Romulan, 2 Cardassian, and 4 of unknown or unrecognized type. Star Trek: Hammerhead Feature Length #1maghwI'vaD Sal [Rise of the Traitor] Teaser: The I.K.S. mupwI'nach in the hands of traitors is used in an attempt to incite war and destroy alliances. Synopsis: The crew of the Hammerhead are split. Several of their number are taken aboard the U.S.S. Avalon while the traitors are tracked down. Meanwhile those who had been aboard her have been taken prisoner by Chan'gaK and his men. Reports trickle in from around the Klingon Border of attacks perpetrated by the rogue fleets on several Federation and Republic targets. Tension building between the three allied powers as their governments seek to put an end to this. These tensions bare their fangs aboard the U.S.S. Avalon as the Klingon guests and the crew of the vessel butt heads. When finally the traitors reveal themselves they make a full frontal assault on Mol'Rihan! The fleet of rogue vessels (The I.K.S. mupwI'nach, Mogh, Vo'Quv, Vor'cha, Peghqu', K't'inga, and a dozen Birds of Prey) engage with Republic Militia defenders. Both sides take losses but after the arrival of some reinforcements from the Federation it seems as if the battle will be one-sided. As the numbers of the Klingon Fleet dwindle more help arrives as the distress call spreads. Then the Traitor calls for support and they warp in. A trio of Tholian Recluse Carriers flanking a Tarantula Dreadnaught drop from warp around the Hammerhead and erect mesh barriers to stave off the brunt of the Defenses fire. The Hammerhead uses the distraction of the much larger targets to race towards Mol'Rihan itself but a few do give chase. As the Combined firepower of the defenders turns on the Tholians Lord Ka'rel of the 3rd Fleet arrives in true Klingon fashion and assaults the Tholian wretches. The battle is joined by Rear-Admiral Kagwe and his battle-group and the combined forces break the Tholians defenses and engage them properly. The Tholians having lsot the advantage desperately fight back, taking a few of the Defenders ships down. Meanwhile as the battle rages among the stars Tholian ground forces surge forth from beneath the soil of Mol'Rihan to attack the colony! They are met by Republic Militia with backup beamed down from the U.S.S. Avalon. The orphaned crew of the Hammerhead taking to the battlements to reclaim their honor! Aboard the Hammerhead its imprisoned crew have broken free thanks to a well placed plasma torpedo and begin to make their way to retake the ship. Within the belly of the shark firefighting is intense as the traitors struggle to stall the crewmen. Grievously wounded Sogh la' Vacev comes to a decision and storms the bridge. With a final curse to the traitor he detonates a mass of grenades; killing himself Chan'gaK the Traitor, and his Tholian Advisor just in time to prevent the Hammerhead from bombing Mol'Rihan with Hargh'peng Torpedoes! With the bridge in ruins and the traitorous crew dead the massive Qu'daj sails forward towards New Romulus. The Tarantula in a last ditch effort to prevent the defenders from stopping the Hammerhead fires its spinnerette, entangling a third of the defense fleet in Tholian Mesh. The immobilized ships struggle to escape and eventually do. Dealing the killing blow to the Tarantula and defeating the Tholians. As the Hammerhead is carried towards Mol'rihan by its inertia the U.S.S. Yorktown and a Vo'Quv carrier move to intercept it. They manage to slow the battlecruiser but cannot stop its decent once it hits the atmosphere of the new Romulan Homeworld. The Hammerhead falls from the sky like a gleaming meteor and crashed into the bay outside the colony with a resounding sound. A massive wave crashing against the shoreline as the Tholian forces go into retreat. In the aftermath a group of those o Mol'Rihan gaze out over the Hammerhead half-sunken into the bay. It's hull charred and blasted but still gleaming in the sparking light of Mol'Rihansu ocean. They had won the day but at a cost. Coming in Season 2: The Hammerhead rises again! (Just as Ka'rel said it would) Action! Adventure! Exploration! Returns to previously discovered worlds! An implacable foe! Intrigue! Danger! Shark Puns!
