"Captain's Log: Supplemental
"The away team led by First Officer Twenty-Five located the mysterious Romulan shuttle...and a secret Tal Shiar outpost in a cave within the confines of the island's dormant volcano. The away team, accompanied by General Wulff of the Klingon Empire and Commander Karina of the Romulan Republic, were ambushed by Tal Shiar agents posted at the base. Myself and Admiral Kiso Hsalo reinforced our team as former MACO colonel 'Tex' Stratis led the effort to subdue the enemy, taking one prisoner in the process. Most of the base's records were destroyed, but we believe their goal is to conduct a terrorist act at the beginning of the diplomatic conference one week from today. I've ordered extra security for the delegates and for a geological survey of the cave complex and nearby seismic stabilizers to ensure that the volcano won't be used as a natural weapon..."

"Captain's Personal Log: Stardate 90473.4
"Day...whatever of our stay at Risa is wrapping up and for the most part everyone I have encountered seems to be enjoying our time here as much as Lex and I have. Vil and K'val, Chensa and Jesse, obviously; however, I am picking up an undercurrent of unrest, one that I too might be feeling if not for the experience Lex spent months arranging for us. I'm a starship captain in command of a vessel of exploration; while I am meant to be out there seeking out new life and new civilizations, said life and civilizations will hopefully still be there whenever the Avalon breaks orbit..."

"Captain's Log: Stardate 90481.4
"The opening of the diplomatic conference on Risa was marred by an all out assault by the Romulan Tal Shiar. A fleet of warbirds engaged our fleet in orbit while a strike team disguised as Risian caterers attacked the delegations on the surface. Thanks to Sindari Krowlek and officers attending the conference, the diplomats were saved. A Tal Shiar Scimitar then joined the fray and prepared to bombard Risa with thalaron radiation, though the ship was destroyed. We're still sorting out the full extent of the damage to the fleet and allied vessels, however the Avalon sustained moderate damage with over a hundred wounded; one critically...one of Miss Wintermane's cubs...
"...that said, I've put in Wintermane for a commendation for original thinking thanks to her fluidic phase decoupler that aided us in the battle. Furthermore, she is hereby promoted to the rank of lieutenant commander and hereby listed as chief engineering officer. I hope for her sake the good news will ultimately outweigh the bad..."

"Captain's Log: Supplemental
"The Avalon was ambushed by two Terran warships under the command of their Jason Hunter. He was captured during a boarding action; the rest of the intruders were killed and his ships destroyed. The Avalon sustained moderate damage and is en route to Starbase 146 for repairs and to deliver Hunter for trial over the massacre of two hundred thousand Federation colonists on Bindaris II two years ago. I'll be taking the Excalibur back to Risa to oversee the departure of the delegates and to...recover from my injuries..."

"The Avalon was assigned by Starfleet to investigate the Tal Shiar attack on Risa, starting with examining S'harien's old flagship, the Vreenak, which is presently moored at a shipyard in orbit of Vulcan. Our team discovered that the ship was still receiving transmissions meant for the attack force although the warbird had been captured weeks before the strike. We also learned that the Tal Shiar has an operative on New Romulus; a centurion named Maec. Our discoveries have been forwarded to Starfleet Intelligence and the Avalon has departed Vulcan to continue our mission..."

"The Avalon was remotely hacked from our embassy on New Romulus. Upon our arrival there, a tactical team led by Commander Twenty-Five secured Starfleet Intelligence's facilities while I personally confronted Marine Corps General Oliver Woden. The general himself authorized the hack, fearful that I was withholding information on the centurion named Maec we learned about a week ago who's now gone missing. The reason for the general fear was made apparent quickly: Maec is the son of S'harien..."

"Captain's Log: Stardate 90615.7
"After spending a week in the custody of S'harien, Commander Va'rek, Dr. Whitlock, Centurion Maec, and myself broke out of his ship's brig. While Mr. Va'rek provided a diversion, the rest of us discovered crate's in the ship's cargo bay containing Iconian equipment. Under attack from the Avalon, S'harien ordered his crew to abandon ship; the surviving crew evacuated to the planet below along with the equipment. Va'rek followed while the rest of us were beamed back to the Avalon along with a rescue team from the Avalon's MACO contingent.
"S'harien's Tal Shiar associates sent reinforcements as did the 146th and House of Ka'rel. Captain Sh'eoii and myself led a team down to the surface, finding our phasers rendered ineffective due to interference from an Iconian gateway. Armed with melee weapons, we battled our way to the gate with Mr. Va'rek and S'harien, apparently imbued with the abilities of the Iconians and immune to multiple attacks even when reinforced by Starfleet and Illarian marines. In one final attempt to shove S'harien through the gate before he could set off a weapon to destroy the Federation, I was almost incinerated by S'harien but he was stopped by the arrival of an Iconian. Colonel Starsong was able to telekinetically push S'harien through the gate in the confusion and I tossed a phaser on overload to ensure his final death.
"The ground team evacuated prior to the employment of Starfleet General Order 24 on the planet, however not everyone made it. Now back in command of the Avalon, I've ordered a course set back to Starbase 24 with the crippled ISS Excalibur in tow. We're expected to arrive by this Friday where we'll conduct repairs and personnel rotations..."

"Captain's Log: Supplemental
"Responding to a call from the Federation Science Council, the Avalon traveled to the Betreka Nebula to investigate unusual activity at a deactivated Iconian space gateway. Upon our arrival, we discovered warbirds from the Children of Tellus attempting to salvage components. Faced with the prospect of yet another renegade Romulan faction utilizing Iconian technology and acting under Starfleet precedent regarding said technology, I authorized the use of a remotely guided torpedo to destroy the gateway. At maximum transwarp speeds, we were barely able to clear the shockwave and have sustained minor damage and injuries to the crew. As I've stressed to those who've contacted this ship regarding the explosion, the danger of hostile forces acquiring Iconian gateway technology cannot be understated. Just as Captains Picard and Sisko did decades ago and just as Admiral Starsinger did exactly a week ago, I faced the choice of destroying Iconian technology rather than letting it fall into the wrong hands and I believe I made the right call..."
